Sorry for not updating in a long time. Recently it has felt like not much is changing from my daily routine.
That is not entirely true. A couple weeks ago I took the JLPT test to measure my Japanese language ability. It was difficult, but easier than the first time I took it three years ago. But, my gut tells me that I will not pass this year.
Perhaps to forget my poor performance on that test, or maybe to do something challeging, I undertook an Excel VB task for my company. The challege was to make a simple excel program that would enable the user to quickly choose which books a student will study from, and make a printable schedule. Th
e programing idea was not complex, but learning VB took some time.
I finished the project last week and my boss sent it to all the other schools to use as well. The feedback was quite positive.
My next pet project is to make a similar Excel program where the user can input students into a database and assign them to groups. But this simple task needs support tasks, such as removing students, moving students, deleting students that haven't been in a group for a long time, etc.
Also, I've been thinking about returning to Oregon...

Returning to Oregon or 'returning' to Oregon? For a week, a month, a few years? I'm going to spend next year there, working some little dead-end job, organizing my plans for the next year and the rest of my life, as well as reacquainting myself with my home state and city, where I've barely touched the bar scene, and hanging with old friends. At first I was disappointed to be going home, but now I'm excited. Who knows? It could be the last time I spend a whole year at once in Oregon! One never knows such things...
Whatever it is, and however long you spend in Oregon, I want to see you, catch up, and drink and eat delicious things together! Love!
