Things that change your thinking

Last week I went to the beach with some friends. I went to the same beach last year and it was quite fun. The beach we went to is quite popular because it is a relatively safe place to swim. However, on the day we went was also the day two teenages drown in the water. This changed me a little, I thi
nk, because seeing a real dead body is not like in the movies. There is something deeply moving about it. Yet, as an emotional defense, I was surprisingly quick to rationalize the event, talking about the force of the ocean and the teens' possible mistakes that let to their death.

On a seperate note, I lost $130. This is not the common kind of loss made as a mistake. This is the kind of loss that comes from something disappearing. I have gone the day' events over and over again. I have walked in my previous footsteps. Nothing makes sense and the loss in any form just seems i
llogical or downright impossible. I sure hope I am just losing my mind and I put it in a safe place and quickly forgot.
