Job Update

Well, it's quite disappointing that I have not received a single reply to the jobs I applied for. Not one. Perhaps my father's friend was right when he said, "Maybe companies aren't taking you seriously because you are currently abroad." I've tried to tell myself otherwise, because an applicant from
N.Y. to Oregon is about the same level of inconvinence as a person from Japan. I think my thinking has been incorrect.

Not much more to do besides continue to improve myself and keep trying.

Job Search Update

Over the past two weeks I have applied for three different jobs back in the USA. All of them are unfortunately on the East coast, far from my family. I don't want to think too much about these jobs, since none of them are a sure thing.

So while I am applying for a new job back in the US, I have been promoted at my current company. It is not a big promotion, but it is a promotion. My first promotion ever, actually. My responsibility has increased a little, including training new teachers, but the pay is not much different.

Exciting stuff ��
