Panoramic Fever

For my now past birthday, I bought myself a new digital camera. My old camera still works, but has real trouble taking indoor photos, especially shots without a flash.

After much research and reading of reviews on websites in both Japanese and English, I bought the Fujifilm F200 EXR.

Since then, I have been taking many panoramic shots and using the new Windows photo program to stitch them together. I will be uploading some of these photos hopefully later today.

Top of the world

Sometimes it is hard to see the future beyond today. Sometimes it feels like today is more important than tomorrow. Sometimes tomorrow feels like it will never come.

Those are only sometimes.

Just like finding a balance between work and personal time, and public and private life, finding a balance between enjoying the present while preparing for the future is important. Our most valuable treasures are our memories, next to having a home and being healthy.

Like someone said to me, "If you have a modern PC and the internet, you are part of the top 1% of the world's wealthiest people."

So... where to next on the train to discovery?

Browsing The Job Market

Purely out of boredom, and a well placed internet ad, I clicked my mouse over to a Japanese job website to see what kind of jobs were being offered during this recession economy. Nothing piqued my interest, but some are very temping.

I compared my current job with those I saw, and it raised an interesting question: "Is free time or money more important?" At my current job I have about 32 hours of real work per week. At a different company, doing not teaching but proofreading work, I could work 46 hours per week (a 40% increase)
for a 60% higher salary.

Hmm... what to do...
