Last week I went to the beach with some friends. I went to the same beach last year and it was quite fun. The beach we went to is quite popular because it is a relatively safe place to swim. However, on the day we went was also the day two teenages drown in the water. This changed me a little, I thi
nk, because seeing a real dead body is not like in the movies. There is something deeply moving about it. Yet, as an emotional defense, I was surprisingly quick to rationalize the event, talking about the force of the ocean and the teens' possible mistakes that let to their death.
On a seperate note, I lost $130. This is not the common kind of loss made as a mistake. This is the kind of loss that comes from something disappearing. I have gone the day' events over and over again. I have walked in my previous footsteps. Nothing makes sense and the loss in any form just seems i
llogical or downright impossible. I sure hope I am just losing my mind and I put it in a safe place and quickly forgot.

Hope your $$ shows up. I had a similar occurrence recently, but only with $10... I misplaced it while on the fire. One of my partners on the engine found it a week later. But sometimes they don't turn up for years.
Enjoyed talking with you.
I encourage you to put in for those defense department IT positions. They are just in the process of making the intelligence a civilian operation. It would be a great opportunity. This is where much of the push for software development is originating. You might enjoy it. Opportunities to live all over the world and retirement benefits will both be good.
