Browsing The Job Market

Purely out of boredom, and a well placed internet ad, I clicked my mouse over to a Japanese job website to see what kind of jobs were being offered during this recession economy. Nothing piqued my interest, but some are very temping.

I compared my current job with those I saw, and it raised an interesting question: "Is free time or money more important?" At my current job I have about 32 hours of real work per week. At a different company, doing not teaching but proofreading work, I could work 46 hours per week (a 40% increase)
for a 60% higher salary.

Hmm... what to do...

Free time may not be the issue. An increased salary may not be of greatest importance either. The difference in the jobs is rather stark (at least on the surface). I envision your current position to require (or afford) much interpersonal interaction... and proof-reading to be rather bookish.
