I am sorry for neglecting my blog recently. The urge to write has been put second to many things over the past few months.
To update on my life, I have recently been given my personalized business card. This shows a great step forward in the trust my company has for me, since I can now officially represent them. Also at my work only 3 of the 25 teachers have a key to our school, and I am one of them. I feel quite empow
ered, which I have read is a sign of good management.
But today is December 1st, and I have to do something I have been putting off for a long time. Today I am waiting at the Yokohama Immigration office to turn in my visa renewal papers. I have heard the Japanese paperwork is much easier to fill out compared to US visas. Still, I don't care since I am
holding 'Service Ticket Number 173" and they are currently serving #135. I feel like Beetlejuice while he is waiting in hell. At their current rate of service (2 tickets every 10 minutes), I will be here waiting for 3 hours...
<1 hour later>
Well, I went to a cafe, had lunch, came back and now they are on #158. I hope this is over quickly.
<40 minutes later>
Alight, I think I got my visa renewed, but I have to mail them some tax information my company did't give me. I will be happy once this is completed.

Congratulations on your visa renewal.
Thanks too for the Thanksgiving video. It was cute... and your voices very cartoon-like, ala Alvin and the Chipmunks.
As for Christmas, looks like I will not be including anything in the Mom and Bekah package. I have thought of nothing and did not get any suggestions from you or Sanami. Would it work for me to just deposit some $$ into your WaMu account and allow the 2 of you to gift each other for Nancy and me?
I will assume "Yes, we can do that" is your response.
Love to you both!
Dad
